Setting up the bio
-
A perfect bio is short and to the point. No more than three lines.
-
If you’re a content creator who has a B2C positioning (selling to customers) and you have a product/program you want to sell, follow this structure:
- Your biggest achievement (not what you do, that’ll already be there in the title) e.g. 100k MRR agency owner
- Your non-brainer offer (e.g. helping new traders learn how to trade, teaching newbies to put on 20kg of muscle)
- CTA, how they can get started (Dm to start, a Linktree, or a link to a form)
-
If Instagram is only a personal branding platform for you, you can write a description in two lines
- Your achievement/profession
- Appropriate links to external websites/Twitter ****(This is crucial because people will want to learn more about what you do and they won’t search it by themselves. Link your website or Twitter there so your personal brand leads them to a different platform)

Making your Profile look aesthetic
- Look at the two photos on your right and you’ll quickly see the difference
- Iman’s account looks very clean and structured while the next one is overloaded with reels.
- For a primary video-based platform like YouTube videos are amazing. But Instagram is different
- Instagram is a personal portfolio. That’s how you need to look at it
- Your portfolio needs to look elegant. It should present your lifestyle and brand first and showcase your content later.
- What’s the solution?
- Keep your main account clean by posting photos and carousels and limited reels.
- Create a separate account for posting reels and drive traffic there. Post your reels on your main account’s story and link that page to your main account.
- If you want to make your Instagram look cool, this is your best bet.
- HOWEVER
- If you’re still growing your account, try to grow your IG first and keep both reels and lifestyle content on same page.
- Once you’ve hit a certain number of followers 30k-50k, migrate your reels to a separate and page and move towards launching a personal brand.
Iman’s Instagram is very clean and he never posts any content reels on there.
Separate reels account
The ideal front page setup YOU should be following.
- 1️⃣ Reels - attract top of funnel audience, show some sauce and make people click on your profile
- 2️⃣ Pinned posts - these are the pieces of your real estate. Tell your story and show your system
- 3️⃣ Highlights - sell the idea that your system works not only for you but for all of your clients as well
- 4️⃣ Stories - constantly talk about your offer, testimonials, wins, new features, and everything that is going on with the business
You don’t make money by posting one reel. You make it by being consistent with all 4 types of content.

Crucial things to sell and get an audience on IG Dm:
- Engage with all questions and comments. If you’re answering comments, you’re warming up your audience to yourself. If you don’t engage with them, they’ll be disappointed and go elsewhere to buy
- Dm people who answer your polls and talk to them
- Discuss their pain points
- Their troubles
- Their doubts
- Why they’re skeptical about buying your product
- SHOULD they buy your product?
- Always be honest and organic. Never pretend or make fake promises because that’ll ruin your credibility. Give honest advice and feedback.
- Settle their objections by mentioning the strengths of your program
- Settle price objections by giving them perspective.
- If your 3000$ ends up making them 5000$ per month, that’s a big gain
- Re-enforce that promise by providing testimonials and proof
- Never rush. Let the prospect talk and move things at their pace. Give them specific advice for free so they know what value they are getting by buying the full thing.
